Unfortunately it's the publishers that are the problem l, not the platforms that sell the ebooks. It's impossible to buy mainstream titles DRM free.
Fortunately DRM is easy to remove but I still feel bad funding this anti-consumer behaviour.

I was surprised to find that Bloomsbury sell DRM-free ebooks direct, but apart from them and Tor, we're certainly out of luck when it comes to mainstream titles.
Reading indie ebooks since 2013 has shown me that's there's way more out there to enjoy too though.
