@Wetrix is the sum of your mutual friendship something that brings you joy or is a net positive overall? Was the argument over something pretty fundamental (like big difference in values)? Do they ever own up to their mistakes, or ever apologize if it’s not their fault? Just asking broad questions generally if it helps. I hope whatever decision you make, it all works out for the best for you!!

@thedeltaflyer and to that end, I can’t believe it’s been ten years since the Long Island Serial Killer murder victims were being discovered all along Ocean Parkway. The Unraveled podcast did a great job exploring the history of it.

I can’t believe this day last year, I was returning from my last vacation and last travel experience before lockdowns and the pandemic changed everything. A few days before I returned from my trip last year, I had found out about the first death in my county. So many things have changed over the course of a year, not just because of the pandemic, either.

@resist1984 reminds me of when people and companies boycotted North Carolina over the bathroom bill a few years ago. So much revenue lost over the passage of such a discriminatory piece of legislation against trans people.

Don't worry too much about the future. Sometimes it's good to think in the now as well.

Baked some shortbread last night for the first time - seems a bit too dry IMO but tastes OK, so I’ll keep tinkering with this recipe or maybe try another and mash them together to get the texture I’m after. Sprinkled some cinnamon on top which was a nice flavor! Next time I go shopping I’ll pick up some ingredients to try making meatloaf. 😋

Thank goodness for people freely sharing their knowledge on the internet - rain + no street lamps = me accidentally driving into a small ditch last night, but after watching one video, I now know how to remove and replace my front bumper. Much to be grateful for, as the situation could have been much worse. With some time and elbow grease, I can buy the parts myself, do my own repair, and have my car back up and running. 🤞

@TheDoctor thank you! I used to make vegan sweets before it was more mainstream to find them in grocery stores because I couldn’t find what I could eat (super bad food allergies at the time). At potlucks people would say, “This is vegan? I couldn’t even tell” which was 🥰 And now that cottagecore is a thing, I’m so excited it’s becoming a little more popular to bake your bread and such. Stretch goal is to grow (some of) my ingredients as well such as blueberries, etc.

Picked up some cake pans and a loaf pan (bread/meatloaf) at an antique store today. Excited to try some scratch recipes - I haven’t baked in years and have missed making sweet treats. Still on the hunt for a cookie sheet and muffin tin. 🤞

On a good day, put together a little self-care package you can pull out for bad days. Include a few things you know will help.

@flockingbird @krock @joshbdoc How can I help with the project? I see it’s in Ruby which I don’t know unfortunately, but at work I’m the informal “I wanted to see if X tool could do Y so I messed around with the menus and options until I figured it out; check out my instruction manual in the uploads :)” kind of person. Any use for a person like that on this project or any other ways to assist?
