@Wetrix that sucks to make that kind of decision as I’m sure it wasn’t an easy one to make, but you did the right thing for yourself. Hopefully in time this friend can change for the better, even if the two of you don’t speak again, so at least all their other relationships improve as well. You owe it to yourself to take care of you first.

After nearly five years of estrangement and no contact, Dad and I are beginning the reconciliation and healing process. It’s what I wished for my entire life but never thought I would actually experience. I feel a mix of relief and peace with the past, but also uncertainty and hesitancy about the future as I’ve been afraid to trust in this relationship for so long. Just... wow.

@Wetrix 😂 that’s what I reminded myself about my handkerchiefs, “these are just for me and they will work even if they’re ugly and imperfect”. I did more research after the experience to figure out how to make it better when I try again this weekend 🤞 I wouldn’t even know where to begin for how to make mittens, so kudos to you all the same!!

Tried to sew with a #sewing machine for the first time since intermediate school, and it’s just as difficult now as it was then! 😩 I know all new hobbies/skills take practice to gain any level of mastery, but jeez do I suck! 😂😭 Hopefully my attempts at #gardening (also a new foray in 2021) will start off better than my handkerchiefs. 😅
