I'm at an odd point with someone in my life. We had a small argument and haven't talked for 4 days. I'd really like to talk to them but I don't want to cave. I've spent to much of my life apologizing to people when I shouldn't have. Now I'm not sure what to do.

@Wetrix is the sum of your mutual friendship something that brings you joy or is a net positive overall? Was the argument over something pretty fundamental (like big difference in values)? Do they ever own up to their mistakes, or ever apologize if it’s not their fault? Just asking broad questions generally if it helps.
