How many times have you driven by an electronic road sign like one of these?
This is the ADDCO portable sign.
*** WARNING YOU SHOULD NEVER TAMPER WITH THESE SIGNS ***
The access panel on the sign is generally protected by a small lock, but often are left unprotected. Upon opening the access panel you can see the display electronics.
The black control pad is attached by a curly cord, with a keyboard on the face.

The App. I've just released my first short film about the rise of government surveillance during the pandemic. This is something different I've done — and I've had a great time making.

Thanks, it seems to work well in Bash now. My mistake was not adding permission to execute script, removing sudo from commands and then just executing whole script as sudo. Just need to get the random hostname generation ironed out now.
What the bloody fuck, #apple
Forcing Protonmail to adopt in app purchases or threatening to kick their app from the store. If that's not the most Mafia thing ever…
I'm currently working on a #script to run after login, which does the following:
1. Bring down WiFi interface
2. Spoof MAC
3. Generate random word
4. Change hostname to random word
3. Bring up WiFi interface
4. Connect to VPN
Should I write it in #Bash or #Python?
Currently written in Bash, but despite the hostname changing successfully when the script runs, running 'hostname' afterwards outputs default hostname...
Over the last 2 years, onion service usability has become a primary feature of Tor Browser. The security and improved usability of onion services are the reason we can run an onion adoption campaign like #MoreOnionsPorfavor.

I've rewritten my first #Python project, a small CLI #backup #program utilising #rsync, #rclone, #VeraCrypt etc. I'm sure there are many ways it could be improved, but it's my beginner's effort and works well for my own needs.
Please feel free to critique, share, modify, collaborate and all that good stuff:

@alt3 Nice illustration!
@lynn_stephenson
Let me know if you'd like some proofreading support.
@freddy
Thought about the Yubico/Yubikey option? I splashed out a few months ago and have found it great.

I'd say the goal would be closer to educating people on tech-relatwd topics rather than how to learn online. The LMS and the interactive learning units aren't the whole picture. There will be plenty of additional resources like links, activities etc, and I try to write about such topics in blog form on my own website when I get the time.
@lightweight
@alt3 Great, I'll send links once the course is ready and hosted on my LMS (with free guest access).
@lightweight
Thanks. Ideally I'd like to get a room set up in Element/Gitter as that's where I chat with the rest of the #Adapt Learning community (Adapt is the software I use to create my courses). I'm also looking forward to trying @moodlenet once it's ready for the masses.
@matrix Brilliant. My wish has been realised then. I always said I'd love to be able to chat with the Adapt Learning community (currently chatting on the Gitter web app) over Matrix/Element.
@lightweight Brilliant! I will make a note to send you links once my course is finished and hosted on my LMS. My plan is to share the source files with anyone who wants them, as well as host it on Moodle with guest access.
@rysiek Cool. My dream is to basically do what I do now (elearning writer/developer), but to be able to focus solely on courses on FLOSS, privacy, digital rights etc. If you'd like to consider working on a future course (e.g. FLOSS, maybe an intro to GNU/Linux or something similar), we could maybe get together in a chatroom and scope the project. I can also discuss further the software I use (Adapt), the LMS (Moodle) etc.
