@nebunez
I was happy to discover Sass for better stylesheet organisation, nesting, variables etc.

@jimbob
This is my go-to for encrypting and backing up files to my instance via the terminal. I don't trust Nextcloud at-rest or e2e yet.

@hyde
Yeah it's pretty technical. I only understand it all on a high level, but the idea would be revolutionary: selectively proving only certain parts of your entire identity. And in a private, decentralised way.

@jameshjacksonjr
Some of those I had to install manually actually, such as Session and Signal.

@jameshjacksonjr
I guess a lot of the android apps I install via the F-Droid store, such as ProtonVPN/OpenVPN, Element, Nextcloud apps, Session, Signal, Fedilab, Firefox etc.

@Korsier
Only to the extent that I advocate for civil liberties, I'm a privacy advocate and I'm concerned about civilian-government power imbalance. I'm not an anarchist; I feel very grateful for the public services my society offers. I wouldn't even wish away our intelligence agencies. They do crucial work. However, I take issue with governments (and corporations) claiming to be champions of human rights while happily engaging in mass surveillance. How about you?

@Korsier
I didn't say AFR cameras are racist. I'd recommend the following report (see p.19): bigbrotherwatch.org.uk/wp-cont -- It does a better job than I can of explaining the issue.

@tallship
Ha, very true! For now I just hope she resists spending God knows how much on a Macbook instead (which is what she really wants). However, she hardly ever uses a laptop anyway, and only really needs it for browsing and (rarely) editing some personal docs.

@jameshjacksonjr
I'm actually in two minds about whether to invest this early on. I understand these models are aimed more at early adopters and developers, and i feel I wouldn't get a lot of use out of it with hardly any of the usual apps I use etc. Still a happy LineageOS user for now. Still love to see all the progress though.

@Korsier
Umm... Or it would further entrench racist bias, which is why there are protestors in the first place?

I know what you mean. I definitely feel at home here!

#Element (formerly #RiotIM) is now published on F-Droid: f-droid.org/packages/im.vector

This is a new app replacing both Riot.im and RiotX, it's based on the RiotX codebase.

Two birds, one stone. Wear a mask to increase your protection against both and . If we're lucky, they might not even try to fine us for covering our faces this time (bigbrotherwatch.org.uk/campaig). Fight . Fight . 😷 ✊
