Now that I finally have my set up, I'm a big fan. One stays on my keys and is touched to my phone when I need some mobile codes ( required). The other will always stay on my desk. The setting to require touch to display codes is a nice feature.

Been meaning to join Codeberg for a while. I'm currently happy with GitLab, but yes we should definitely be pushing use of better, freer alternatives.

What is the most #privacy-respecting, heavily-used online payment / patronage system?

Please choose one...

P.S. We know some/all of these do not fully respect privacy. Please comment with others. It is most appreciated.

@amolith
I was interested in checking out LiberaPay for donations etc., but maybe I'll also take a look at Fosspay.

Finally! What a hassle. I've made progress and am finally seeing an 'Add account' button after running the following: "sudo systemctl stop pcscd", "sudo systemctl stop pcscd.socket" and "sudo snap restart yubioath-desktop.pcscd"
@greg_harvey

@mig5@rezo.mig5.net
Thanks anyway. I installed the snap instead but now I'm getting "qml: failed to update readers: no_pcscd" straight after launching, even though the pcscd-service is "active (running)"

is driving me mad and I haven't even set up my keys yet. On their website they provide developer keys for verifying the (developers.yubico.com/Software), yet they don't provide a *signed* version! Does anyone know where they keep it? I've looked everywhere...

@tychi Thanks, and yes I recently learnt of You Don't Know JS. I watched a talk by the author yesterday. For now I've just ordered a HTML/CSS/JS/jQuery book bundle and will continue to practise the basics in the browser console etc. before moving on to the more advanced stuff.

@tychi
And I'm looking forward to a time when I have enough JavaScript knowledge to be able to contribute to the codebase! I think I need to get a fat book on the subject and carry it around with me everywhere. Any you'd recommend?

To prepare for at work in the coming weeks, today I dove into beginner courses on , and templating. I'm frazzled. It's a big step going from and basic to ...

Send me your thoughts, tips and all the reassuring things, yes?

@climagic
I forget the command to jump to a specific dir... I thought it very useful when I first discovered it but have since forgotten it.

@dajbelshaw
Can't wait to try it. Congrats and well done on the achievement! How come you're leaving Moodle?

Here's MoodleNet, the world's first federated social network for educators, a decentralised digital commons.

I've taken this as Product Manager from zero to one, and leave Moodle on Friday.

The team is calling this v1.0 beta and proud of what we've achieved. Unfortunately the management seem to think it's "alpha quality". You decide...
