@freddyym Love the look of it so far. I've read some (very funny) posts on their blog, and also bought a domain name with Monero. That alone has won me over to Njalla. I'll also consider renting a VPS from them.

Of course we shouldn't waste local authorities' time, but neither should we rely on others (such as nonprofits and advocacy groups) to do it all for us. The bottom line is we have the right to access this information, so we should understand how such processes work (which have been put in place for us) and take advantage of the laws that hold authorities to account.

Feels good to have just sent my first Freedom of Information Act (#FOIA) request to my home county council (#UK).

I've asked whether #AFR is used; if so, how is the data handled/shared, and which locations/services is it used for. I think making such requests is a practice we should all get into.

Next, I want to ask about the video and audio that's captured on every bus I ride...

I'm welcome to other suggestions, especially regarding #surveillance and #data use.
