@marc0janssen I used it in the past before I discovered @protonmail (which is now my go-to). I hear good things about though. I don't follow their developments, but as far as I know they're still one of the best out there.

@crazydeepgrowth These routers look good, though not quite the spec I'd like. However, I do need to get me some Tux stickers. I hate how every keyboard now comes with a Windows logo on the Super key.

Delighted to learn the brilliant UK-based Big Brother Watch has just launched their own podcast. For anyone who doesn't know them, they're one of the main privacy groups in the UK (they feature as one of the 'defenders of digital rights' in my upcoming course) podcast.bigbrotherwatch.org.uk

@freddyym Thanks, but I can't see any home wifi routers on that site. It looks like mostly enterprise/business high-spec stuff.

Who can help me with some recommendations...

I need an affordable -WRT (or similar) supported , as I want to be able to route my games console etc. through my .

The router must have the option of creating an additional (guest) network, cost no more than £150, and having dual band is a bonus.

1. Curious to learn more about , so clicks on icon in Firefox's awesomebar and visits Pocket site.

2. Clicks on , sees Google Analytics.

3. Closes tab.

@Crocmagnon @yarmo @gray That's actually news to me that it's developed by GitHub, but I still don't consider that directly supporting Microsoft. It's open source, and using GitHub and sending usage data are both optional within Atom.

@gray @yarmo Yeah, Sublime is nice. It was what I used before I discovered Atom. Really used to Atom now and I have no reason to jump ship again. It has every feature I need and more.

@gray @yarmo I reckon not directly at least. Though there is the GitHub plugin, there's also a drawer for standard Git version control, which can also be configured to push/pull etc to GitLab and others.

@ademalsasa I should have reworded that. I meant that Signal's reliance on numbers almost drove me away, but now I know they're implementing other means of addressing, I'm more confident about staying with them.

Excited to hear about @signalapp@mastodon.social's "move to support additional features the Signal community has asked for – like addressing that isn’t based on phone numbers". This is a big deal and was one of the main reasons I considered moving to an alternative . signal.org/blog/signal-pins/

This is just to check in how much interest there is in the following:

Would you like to see Tails to run on mobile phones such as the #PinePhone?
(boost also counts as a yes)

What's Tails?
Tails a portable operating system that protects your privacy and helps you avoid censorship.
