Purely for nostalgia's sake, would it be possible to run something like the original Netscape in a VM? I've been reading a book about the history of the internet and find it really interesting learning about the origins of Firefox etc, which I respect so highly now. However, not properly using a PC until 2000s, I missed those early years.

@nextcloud I agree it's a no-brainer to use if possible. However, I had to disable 2FA for my own instance because it was blocking me from using to rclone for backups etc.
@hyperfocal @jeff Jitsi isn't limited to Chrome, it just requires the user to have WebRTC enabled. Personally I'd recommend Nextcloud Talk or Jitsi (both FOSS, both can be self-hosted and both also have password feature). I'd recommend NOT using Zoom.
This pandemic means a lot of people are now having to choose appropriate communication tools, but it's a minefield out there. Understandably the right choice is unclear for many without the patience or experience. This is why we the community, knowing everyone needs privacy and security, must help family and friends utilise those tools we all know and love, software which puts people before profit. #Privacy and #security education is essential in these strange times. #FOSS #encryption

It's a small release that adds support to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, which means it now works in Linux Mint, Elementary OS, and other Ubuntu derivatives.

Yeah I was inspired to try IceCat recently but it didn't last long. Depending on where Firefox goes I may change my mind. I really hope they don't go ruining it for themselves. I have a lot of trust and respect for Mozilla.
