That's the thing: this is a screenshot of the DuckDuckGo mobile browser. If they aren't blocking those trackers then no one is. Never mind. I prefer Firefox Preview now, with uBlock Origin installed. Much more control, as well as Firefox profile synching.
@duckduckgo

@syntax @zanko @duckduckgo I always prefer uMatrix which works for mobile too, while using fennec atleast

@dsvdv
Yeah I really like it. I also used Fennec for a long time but have since grown tired of its slow speed and lack of dark mode (minor issue, I know). Happy with Firefox Preview now. I think it ticks all the boxes.
@zanko@fosstodon.org

@syntax @zanko never tried the preview, too bad it isnt on f-droid. the dark mode is something i miss too

@dsvdv
Yes I had to install it through FFUpdater but it's worth it. I'm more concerned if the software itself is proprietary rather than just things like logos.
@zanko@fosstodon.org

@syntax @zanko I like that there is some options in it that doesnt exist in fennec, but some things make it impossible for me to change to it. first of all, it seems like I cant change the startpage and uMatrix doesnt work. i also found this [1] in it, and it also connects to these sites [2] just by boot my phone. i might be paranoid, but i just wanted to share what i found :D

@dsvdv Thanks for sharing. To the best of my (limited) knowledge, the safebrowsing and fonts Google subdomains are pretty standard (I believe the former is used by most browsers for checking security of sites etc., though I could be wrong). As for the Google Firebase Analytics, of course this is concerning (anything Google "analytics" for that matter!). I expect I'll do some research around this. It may be because Preview is still in dev/testing stages.
