Some real progress made today, just when I was about to give up...
1. I now have a (private) #Prosidy #XMPP server set up on my #VPS, along with desktop and mobile clients using #OMEMO for E2E #encryption. Feels good to have a reliable, secure and #decentralised chat solution I have complete control over...
2. I've persuaded two family members to try out @session, which seems to be working nicely so far.
@syntax I also just set up prosody! It seems a lot of people are rediscovering instant messaging. I am pleased to see IM returning to the geek scene, especially in decentralized form! Few really took XMPP seriously back in the old days...
