Hello all! I never did get round to doing a proper intro on my previous instance when joining Mastodon, so here goes:
I'm an #elearning #designer based in the UK, passionate about #privacy, #security, #decentralisation and #opentech in general. Writing and editing is my speciality, but I also have a keen eye for design. I'm currently working on an elearning course called Digital Privacy Essentials, which will soon be free for everyone under CC licence (watch this space).
@jambamkin
Hi, thanks for the interest. The company I work for develops bespoke and off-the-shelf courses for public and private sectors, mostly for compliance, H&S etc. For example, we recently released a free course aimed at guiding people during their first experience working from home. I'd be happy to send you some screenshots etc of my course of you're interested.
@syntax
Oh yeah, I know the kind if thing, we have them at work for compliance etc. It would be interesting to see things from a non formal education perspective.
@jambamkin I've been meaning to post some screenshots anyway, so watch this space. I could even try a recording right now. I'll see what I can do...
@jambamkin
Also, that makes sense about the short URL; it's nice and tidy. I just got an invite to this server and feel it's the community for me. I also respect what the people at @privacytools are doing in general.
@jambamkin
Forgot to say I was on mstdn.io before.
@syntax Hello and welcome!
@gray
Thanks!
@syntax that's pretty awesome! Welcome to the privacy fed π€π

Hi Sam, which instance were you on before? I chose mstdn.io because it was the shortest to type. Which sector are you making elearning courses for? I work in HE/FE so would be keen to see your work.
