@Tommy @fdroidorg I also know about XDA Labs which has apps but I haven't played around with it much, by the time I found it had had all the apps I really need from FDroid or Aurora. But I do use the XDA forum and know there is some excellent stuff there.

Check out /e/ as a mobile alternative, I have been using for about 2 years. I spent a year trying different ROMs such as Lineage, GraphineOS, AOSPExtended, Resurrection, etc. /e/ is based on LineageOS but modifies it to take out as much Google as possible. Plus I found that Lineage tends to drop support for models after a while since they depend on community members to maintain builds. /e/ doesn't drop support. https://e.foundation

@loweel I am using the name "Stingray" in the generic sense, like if you want to order a "Coke". A cell tower simulator will be a man in the middle and intercept all traffic as it passes from your phone on to the legitimate cell network. Phone calls, SMS (both unencrypted) and data.

1- Fully encrypt your device
2- Do not use FaceID or biometrics such as fingerprints to unlock your device, use a PIN instead
