I wasn't around the autistic community in 2010, but based on what I read the community seems much better at internal organizing, communicating, and self-advocacy than it was.
I've found it much easier to keep up with learning a foreign language than I did back then. Foreign-language media and dictionaries are way better imo.
Linked data has more useful tools and broader coherence.
@debugninja Also I feel like the re-decentralization of the web through federated and p2p systems has really taken off. Like, granted, it's happened largely as a response to how terrible and invasive advertising has gotten on mainstream platforms in that time, but we have to acknowledge that diaspora* was brand new in 2010. StatusNet barely existed. Matrix didn't. Masto didn't. Hell, gitlab didn't exist.
We had XMPP and OpenId and gosh darnit we *liked* it.
