When a bug tracker makes me jump through hoops (#CAPTCHA) or the bug tracker is hosted by an unethical service (e.g. MS #Github or gitlab.com [#CloudFlare]):

I've been getting trapped in #InternetArchive #WaybackMachine loops a lot lately, when trying to archive a new webpage. Is this happening to others or just me? And the onion site for #Archive.org is completely down.

@aktivismoEstasMiaLuo in the 90s I was told by a prof: "#Javascript is designed with security from the ground up to ensure the j/s can't access any sensitive local resources" -- was that naive, or has javascript changed to have a longer leash?
@Horizon_Innovations they had enough sense to create a #codeberg mirror (https://codeberg.org/Eloston/ungoogled-chromium), but /issues/ redirects to MS #Github, so the conversation is still confined to a walled garden & outsiders are suppressed.
I can't (won't) report a bug in Ungoogled Chromium b/c they're exclusively in #Github. Every single #ungoogledChromium community is trapped in a walledgarden. WTF.

@greenfediverse @catgoat #CloudFlare is inherently energy wastefull. Bots & humans who use text-based browsers are the most environmentally respectful b/c they do not tend to download images (which consumes far more bandwidth than text). When images are not downloaded, CF's #Google #CAPTCHA automatically treats the connection like a hostile bot, & actually pushes images to an otherwise very green session,
in this sense, a #CAPTCHA is actually harmful to the environment, not just bots.
#Google's #CAPTCHA detects whether a user downloads images. If not, they're presumed to be a bot & get attacked with a puzzle. And yet it's all the *images* that strain the network in the 1st place, not the text. #crappyDesign

It is quite apparent that the internet needs to move away from #cloudflare
I ran an #tor exitnode for a few hours (mostly for testing combined with a miss in config) and now does cloudflare prompt me with a #captcha every, single, minute.
Do youself and your user a favour, and move away from cloudflare

Just tried to order a #PinePhone. Unfortunately it turns out that the #Pine64 store uses #PayPal as their sole payment processor.
Given that I am a big proponent of voting with my feet, and PayPal is blacklisted from handling both my money and my private information, this won't do.
Is there any other way to get money to @PINE64 or do we have a No Deal?
Direct bank transfer is preferred, but if necessary I could look into getting myself a proper credit card.
