the only #privacy-respecting #searchengine in the world (searxes.eu.org) is currently down. Hope this is temporary! It's a sad state of affairs that #Tor users are dependant on this one search engine.

Ok #Revolut, I think we are done here, dropping app support for rooted ROMs is one thing (even though no other way to access your account) but selling our data with only opt out via support chat and latest app ver (can't use anyway), is another.

reddit is #centralized on Amazon AWS. Amazon has been caught financing #climatedenial & it's pretty well known that Amazon is the world's biggest investor in #facialrecognition, and thus #privacy abuse.
The reddit #censorship problem is so chronic they actually have robots that detect whether an oppressed user reposts a #censored post in their own sub. #Reddit then suppresses that speech everywhere.
So e.g. you post something political in a sub with a "no politics" rule, it gets silently blocked, then you post in a sub where politics are welcome and #reddit silently removes the post even though it's rule-abiding.
*silent* non-tranparent censorship is maliciously insideous.

@jalcine Great intentions but absolutely despicable that they jailed that project in #Microsoft #Github, thus feeding an enemy of their own mission and subjecting users to MS surveillance and control. Those boycotting ICE-feeding corps are fundamentally blocked from contributing to that project.

Everytime you visit the #yelp website, you give them power.
Yelp is corrupt. When business stop paying Yelp, Yelp deletes positive feedback. Yelp is also a #privacy abuser. Yelp forces users to compromise their IP address by blocking #Tor. Yelp also refuses business responses unless they include a photo of the business owner.
Stop giving Yelp power.
workaround: follow using #bitlbee instead of relying on the dodgy webpage.
