@Br0m3x @0 is just a drill. When a more serious pandemic emerges you will want Germany to be prepared with that Infection Protection Act in place and ready to go.

How can we call regular companies not to use #cloudflare or not to ban #tor exit nodes if entities which claim that they are super #privacy oriented use this word only because of its hype.
#Session - getsession.org - cloudflare.
#pinephone - they confirmed that privacy is only a nice byproduct(sic!). You cannot use #tor to sign up in their forum. You cannot connect to their #IRC using #tor.

We are just Don Quixotes. Saaaad.

How sweeping is California's vehicle surveillance dragnet?

We crunched the numbers:

82 law enforcement agencies collectively scanned more than 1-billion license plates in 2019.

Only 0.1% of the data was relevant to an active public safety interest.

@TheGuardian I would say "someone please send a copy of 's book", but then again Trump doesn't read books.

@TheGuardian I really hope Bush does something to reduce the of other US republicans.

@TheGuardian I heard talk briefly about recently, and was quite surprized by what I heard. Even though he was a warmongering scumbag who made jokes about the soldiers lives he sacrificed, his view on immigration was ironically empathetic & sensible, nothing like other me-first US republicans/nationalists.

@floppy @molaei in this case the site you were trying to access should be avoided anyway. alternativeto.net is a Tor-blocking site. We need an alternative to alternativeto.net :)

@nytpu For me, one of the greatest aspect of #gemini is that it is made to focus on content.
No monetization around ads and tracking create a space where people can focus on what they want to read and/or write about, in a non-intrusive and non-distracting access to content…

@ScottMortimer "In cybersecurity, trust is hard to win and easy to lose" <= we should strive for that but sometimes it's not reality. E.g. #DuckDuckGo is an example of an inversion of that where #DDG has violated their own privacy policy several times & given Microsoft a view of people's searches, yet their trust remains paradoxically unshakable. techrights.org/2021/03/15/duck

@focus404 I think saurkraut has the same problem.. it tastes best when it's cooked, but cooking kills the probiotics.

@focus404 Doesn't tempeh taste bitter and overall bad if you eat it raw? I've made a pad thai with peanut sauce and tempeh. It was quite good as I think tempeh needs to be "dressed up". But I'm at a loss for how to get the probiotic benefits. Surely cooking tempeh kills the probiotics, no?

@kensanata it's like breaking into someone's house and then suggesting that it's a favor to the victim. Security audits that actually carry out an attack have no legal standing unless they obtain express written consent from the auditee in advance.
