I'm planning to work remote from somewhere warm this winter (dec - mar). Where should I go? 🌍
@Gina Looks like a beatiful place and "Costa Rica signs law to attract digital nomads" https://ticotimes.net/2021/08/11/costa-rica-signs-law-to-attract-digital-nomads
@ghostdancer @Gina That article is quite interesting and I'm glad you posted it, but I have to say it goes to a #Cloudflare-jailed exclusive #walledGarden. This is a better link to share: https://www.bizlatinhub.com/moving-to-costa-rica/ or http://web.archive.org/web/20210816035705/ticotimes.net/2021/08/11/costa-rica-signs-law-to-attract-digital-nomads
@resist1984 Care to elaborate on "#Cloudflare-jailed exclusive #walledGarden?" Do you object to sites that use Cloudflare?
@werwolf @Albright Indeed werwolf. Most #Cloudflare sites are configured as ticotimes, which exclusively discriminates against some classes of ppl (e.g. some Tor users & those whose ISP uses #CGNAT [often in impoverised areas]). CF's #hCAPTCHA also discriminates against the disabled. Since CF sites are not open to the general public, it's not good to share CF sites in a msg that is open to the public.
@Albright @werwolf I highly recommend following @altlink. That's an automated service that will follow you back, & detect whenever you inadvertently post a #Cloudflare URL. It will then DM you w/a non-CF replacement URL.
