Product review articles almost always give a link to where to buy the thing, and that link always points to , which I find disturbing. Are they getting a kickback from Amazon, or are they just being lazy? I'm guessing the latter.

@resist1984 I often refer to wirecutter for reviews of things I'm interested in buying. They will often give affiliate links to other sources to buy the thing. Even if you don't buy it from their link, I still find it useful to have a make/model number

@resist1984 Yeah, they used to be their own outfit but were absorbed by nytimes, I think. I use it more for household type items really but I find a lot of their tech recommendations aren't bad.
