BTW, it's rather revolting that wrote a 23-page report on , but then they deny access to the report unless you supply them with an email address through their site. So in order to read about privacy abuses, you must allow them to invade your privacy.

@resist1984 Papers are often a tool for generating sales leads. Most fingerprinting tactics are being foiled by us, and email addresses are one of the main tools being used now. Email aliasing is a such a critical tool for avoiding identification nowadays. Thank you anonaddy.com and simplelogin.com. If a site will not accept one of those, I usually run away from it.

@krock I know I can probably circumvent what they're doing with a Tor Browser-submitted disposable address assuming they've not gone as far as to reject them, but I walked away from that download purely on principle

@resist1984 This is why I still wear a bandana even though I am vaxed. It would be cool if something like would have face recognition present icons 🧐 on every location where they are known or suspected similar to how Waze shows speed traps. Establishments that have affirmed they will never use it would be tagged as safe. Then we could navigate safely and easily boycott the bad places..

@resist1984 I agree we need to crowd compile a DB of stores/companies using facial recognition. I just stopped at a Rite Aid and saw the new cylindrical camera called Wise on the register. They told me it was for facial recognition. I told the manager Fuck you. I won't be coming back here again. If I must get anything there, I will be wearing a paper bag over my head. I think the paper bag over head icon is what we need on
