@mplammers i have a gratis acct and have lodged support tickets that were mistinterpreted a few times. I wondered if paying customers experienced the same.
@davidoclubb @Tutanota @mplammers just a heas up on Tutanota: they recently updated their mobile app in a way that introduces a dependency on a new version of an underlying library that the app does not include, & #fdroid neglects to notice the compatibility problem thus installs a broken version. So if you switch to #Tutanota you might want to check whether the phone app works 1st & be careful with upgrades.
@davidoclubb @Tutanota @mplammers the other problem with #tutanota: you cannot securely email a non-tuta user who gives you their PGP key, because there is no keyring access or any way to store an outsiders key in your address book.
@resist1984 @davidoclubb @Tutanota @mplammers eager to see @protonmail reply...
@oros @resist1984 @davidoclubb Hi @mplammers, we're very sorry for the inconvenience. Can you please send us your last ticket number so we can follow up with our support team and assist you with your payment request?
@protonmail @oros @resist1984 @davidoclubb After this convincing apology, I felt enough trust to take this issue back into the normal support channel. Sadly the result is not good.
- No reply how much Protonmail feels I owe them
- Invoices were changed
- Invoices still show services I canceled via dashboard
- No info how to pay with bank transfer
- No access to my earlier webform questions about it
- No access to my emails about it
- Still receiving emails misinterpreting my questions
@mplammers @protonmail @resist1984 @davidoclubb this is quite disappointing...
@mplammers @Tutanota @davidoclubb And if you go for a gratis Tutanota acct, be aware as well that an acct becomes dormant and suspended if not accessed regularly, which means those who were stung by the last upgrade have to do a web login and trust on-the-fly JavaScript (b/c tutanota no longer works with the #ElectronMail app).
