@TheGuardian I heard #GeorgeBush talk briefly about #immigration recently, and was quite surprized by what I heard. Even though he was a warmongering scumbag who made jokes about the soldiers lives he sacrificed, his view on immigration was ironically empathetic & sensible, nothing like other me-first US republicans/nationalists.
@TheGuardian I would say "someone please send #Trump a copy of #GeorgeBush's book", but then again Trump doesn't read books.
@resist1984 »We« thought back then George Bush was a most terrible US president. Little did we know. Many here believed the propaganda that Obama would be the salvator, but he was not. He was a decent alternative to Bush and more to Trump, an educated man, but Obama extended, multiplied the list of people to kill world wide. What I want to say: It's never black and white. It's grey and sometimes orange and sometimes even pink. @TheGuardian
@resist1984 When I wrote »orange« I thought of enlightenment and wisdom, when I wrote »pink« I thought of unionists being shot by entrepreneurs and police for striking. <knuckling>I am sure though that esp. orange will have had other connotations for the reader ;-) in this context.</knuckling>
@TheGuardian I really hope Bush does something to reduce the #xenophobia of other US republicans.
