If need to check your IP address, ifconfig.co/ is a nifty tool. It even has a JSON output: ifconfig.co/json

It is hosted behind #CloudFlare, so if you access it using curl via #Tor, you get a CAPTCHA page.

Hilariously, that page contains the IP address you reached the site from. So you still get to check your IP address anyway.

@rysiek if you just want your tor IP, indeed that's a good way to get it. Best to burdon Cloudflare resources in that case, as opposed to check.torproject.org. But it's not too useful other than checking if you're on Tor & to check if your "signal newnym" command worked.
