Some #covid19 vaccine sites are maintaining brand-specific waiting lists, so you can e.g. be on a call list only for Johnson & Johnson, or only for Moderna, if you want. But most don't offer that & no one publishes this. And vaccinefinder.org is not keeping up with the stock availability data. We need some crowd-sourcing on this data.

Wow... Waiting lists? How long does that usually take?
In my country, you can register on-site and the most you'll have to wait is about an hour.
@mesh4545 Every state is potentially different. In my area you can often get an appointment ~1 day in ahead if you call around but you often don't know in advance which brand it is. Shipments are chaotic. Pharmacists don't know what's coming or when it will arrive. Many are out of stock or booked up & don't know if they'll get more at all. It's all spontaneous.

@mesh4545 Some of the prices are here: https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/364685 The US has banned drug makers from selling privately-- they can only sell to the gov so the gov can control distribution. In my state, the gov is not passing the cost on to the consumer.
@mesh4545 So the vaccine is gratis. Regarding administration, vaccine providers can charge a fee. The fee is then reimbursed by insurers, & for uninsured people the fee is paid by a government relief fund. So either way it should be free to the consumer.

One is not supposed to choose thier favorite vaccine brand. Just get vaccinated.
@zack Americans are fussy about which brand: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-56410179 Some of them are making stupid decisions like waiting longer to get one with insignificantly better efficacy. But there is a good reason to be selective: You need to meet people or be around them in 4 weeks, in which case Pfizer & Moderna cannot protect you in time.
@zack that comparison table should really show the schedule differences, because that is one good reason to favor one over the other. J&J takes ~28 days to reach full protection; pFizer takes 21 days + 1 week; Moderna takes 28 days + 2 weeks.
