C89.5 is an incredible dance radio station here in the Seattle area and I feel like we're so lucky it exists

• This is their 50th anniversary!
• They are owned and operated by Seattle Public Schools and the general public!
• Yes the general public! They operate on donations, like NPR!
• No commercials!! 
• They give Seattle Highschool kids airtime!
• I love all their DJs and just about everything they play

@mawr cool! The two community radio station in my district work closely with high schools, our transmitters are on the roofs of the buildings and one studio is in a building the school owns - unfortunately this means I can't currently volunteer there at the moment because of Covid19 restrictions (my day job is in healthcare) but hopefully one day it will be safe again to go back there..
