Beginner question about #mastodon and the #fediverse : does searching for a hashtag search the entire fediverse, or just the instance?
I'm trying to find out if #julialang (the Julia programming language) already has a presence here.
@janssens_bart just the instance, but it includes msgs that happen to be stored on the instance from another instance

@janssens_bart so it's a crapshoot whether you'll be able to see a msg originating from another instance. You're only guaranteed to see local msgs.
