@resist1984 Hashtag culture will maybe adapt to this situation and nobody in the fediverse will hopefully search for Google hashtags anymore over time. I'd suggest to use #degoogle #fuckgoogle and so on anyway. These hashtags will never been used by Google themselves.

@irkiosan the problem with #degoogle & #fuckgoogle is that they don't fit well into the flow of a msg unless you want to introduce a distraction to whatever the thesis is. So you have to stick them at the end, potetially blowing msg limits. And trailing tags don't get leading newline if you use #bitlbee. Msgs that use trailing tags also get less notice vs inline tags.
@resist1984 I see. That's the way it is, obviously. The big players won't let anyone play anywhere without control, disruption or manipulation. This is #narcissism (on a more abstract level). #culturalnarcissism
