Facebook claims to protect your privacy - by stopping an academic team "who've done brilliant work in exposing the company's failures to contain scams, rip-offs, and political disinformation" from continuing to do their research. It is time to do privacy right, being transparent is a big part of that!
That's why we at Tutanota focus on #privacy, #security, #opensource and #transparency. 💪😀

@Tutanota Yes, @resist1984 is absolutely right! Why do you keep supporting them?! I deleted my 10-year-old + account! Shouldn't you do the same?!

@joaopinheiro Thanks for your feedback. We don't like Facebook, but we stay on the service to convince others to leave - and to promote Mastodon as an alternative there. ;) @resist1984

@Tutanota @joaopinheiro It's a reasonable stance for justifying the existence of your page, but it does not justify having a link going from the public web into FB's . It's the wrong direction. The link should be one-way (from FB to the free world). See stallman.org/facebook-presence

@Tutanota @resist1984

I would also dare suggest: Spread your wings and fly! Your presence in the Fediverse should reach other networks too, like Diaspora, the second in terms of number of accounts.
