From a privacy and climate standpoint I can recommend downloading videos illegally.
1. By not paying you are not supporting capitalism, the root of all evil.
2. f you download, you only download the video once, but can watch it many times. If you stream, you download the video every time you watch it. More data traffic -> more CO2.
3. If you download it nobody can track how often you watch which video, so they can't profile and manipulate you.

@paulakreuzer @switchingsoftware @fruechtchen I don't wholly oppose capitalism but I boycott a lot of the players involved (/netflix, , /vizio), so I generally agree with you. The problem w/illegal downloading is all the sites are on . I CF myself. My family (who has the smart tv) is too low-tech to handle the task.
