And they almost never get any updates, meaning over time they not only become dumber but become a gaping security hole in a home network...
@Rastal The system suddenly started glitching out mid-film, ~2-3 times per film. It's been happening for ~2wks. When I accused tech support of pushing a bad update, they said they've not pushed an update since 2016. So maybe that's the problem. The streaming service probably made a change that the apps can't deal with.
@resist1984 give me a "dumb" monitor any time! Hey wait, you can't buy a 42" non-smart TV for real world money even though they have less tech in them... market demands or surveillance capitalism?
