It is a dangerous oversimplification of the law and the technology (Amazon Ring) to say the law will be followed and homeowners control the footage. (They don’t, Amazon does).

@onepict the law is non-existent, no? AFAIK, no cities or states in the US have banned the use of to surveil your neighbors, which is the heart of the problem.

Well that article was Canadian. I'm hopeful that as more consumers are aware of the ramifications they may consider banning ring. Although the uptick in ring sales doesn't reassure me.
