Telling #TwitterExodusScotland ppl to join mastodon.social is poor advice & it's ironic that it comes from a #privacy foundation. mastodon.social is #centralized on #CloudFlare. It's an abuse of privacy & #netneutrality.
You should be embarrassed to be on that node and you shouldn't be suggesting it to others.
@resist1984 @theprivacyfoundation OK read most of the thread, while not understanding the technicalities, kind of understand the implications, base line for me, once one person knows what I think or do means its no longer private. Still better than twitter, I hope.
@Yes2020 @theprivacyfoundation actually there are no obvious problems with mastodon.scot (it's not a #CloudFlare site & not hosted by a tech giant). The issues discussed in the thread are specifically with mastodon.social.
