@resist1984 @onepict @sjvn I hope so. But folks tend to buy what's in the supermarket or what their local computer shop provides. Believe me I've tired to recommend better hardware. The chromebook showed people will buy other interfaces. But it needs to be in Walmart. We don't get folks off Microsoft until we ensure it's a no brainer for Linux PC/Laptops to be consumer electronics.

@onepict @sjvn @onepict I recall a time/place when someone could buy a Windows box and then "return" the OS and get the royalties refunded. I wonder if that's still an option anywhere. It was a glimpse in time that it happened & I've not heard about it since.

@resist1984 @onepict @sjvn there was a right to do that I think about a decade ago and some Linux emthuiasts did. Although in the UK I think someone had a bit of a tricky time of it with Dixons/PC World as the staff weren't aware it was a right. Dell can load Ubuntu on if you ask the right account manager.
