MS gave $100k to the Cloakroom to hide meetings between conservative US republican politicians & corporations.
If I find a bug on a github-hosted project, I do not report it b/c of all the red tape in loggin in.

I agree, but unfortunately any other code hosting service doesn't give me the same visibility as GitHub does.
However, I disabled Issues and Wiki for my projects and I don't even push on GitHub as I use #GitLab with its "repository mirror" functionality.
