@Wetrix A part of me wants to accept that challenge. But another part wants to heed your warning. π
@Wetrix I swear I wish I had your weather/temperatures. :P Our winters here are simply prolonged cold fronts.
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat Ooo, tell me about this Nitter stuff. I searched via DuckDuckGo for NixNet and found a mail server. Is that related? Educate me! π
@kravietz Damn shame. π
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat @joshbdoc Holy crap. I never knew this. Thanks for detailing that! I'm gonna play with it a bit now. π
@tilduke Interesting! Why is this?
@joshbdoc @ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat Is ungoogled Chromium different than Chrome and Chromium? Or is Chromium and ungoogled Chromium synonymous?
@krock Sorry, I got ahead of myself and started to go off on tangents. π
@TheDoctor I'd agree with that sentiment. π€
@krock Don't you worry about hardware driver support though? So many drivers are made only for Windows and Linux relies on open source alternatives right? Like, WiFi chips. You'd have to get a computer with a processor that advertise Linux support and even then, who knows what the experience would be like.
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat Don't tell me you have the Oculus 2 π€ with that Facebook integration...
@m_svo Gotcha. Do you still use Microsoft software through Wine? Office, for example.
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat Interesting, so Chromium with a crap load of extensions? π On top of what Privacy Tools recommends at that? What are your favorite add-ons that aren't mentioned on the Privacy Tools website?
@Wetrix I'd so prefer that at this point π It makes for a good time travel scene, why not be in it for a bit?
@InternetRooky When I signed up and saw through the tutorial that you could create bots, I was a little concerned about how much of it I would see. But this server is my first so I think I should be good, considering the point you made @Wetrix . π
With Microsoft Windows, people push for least privilege in the sense that you should use a standard user account and when permission elevation is required, enter the password to the local admin account when the elevation prompt appears. In the Linux world with the sudo command, least privilege isn't relevant correct?
