@BurungHantu I use this too, but it's really the best ad blocker only if you haven't rooted your device. Because of how it works, you can't use it while also using VPN proper.
@avatar4d That is true. It might be an option to setup a VPN router? If I'd use a different WiFi than my own I'd prioritize a VPN over Adblock. At least it's easy to switch.
@BurungHantu That will work while at home, but not while out and about so as you said, VPN > Blockada in that case. I haven't been able to use dns-over-tls in Android while Blockada is enabled so your DNS calls are also unencrypted, which is another downside to using it.
@avatar4d @BurungHantu Wouldn't your phone still be communicating with ad servers with a vpn vs a blocked communication with an ad blocker?
@BurungHantu ok makes sense. I'll give Blokada a try considering all my traffic doesn't only go through my firefox browser on my phone.
@pkntl @avatar4d Yes, it would. My solution for regular users, with a low threat model would be a combination of VPN + Brave Browser or any other Browser which supports ad filter lists.
