@Mayana Thanks. I had looked briefly at Pixelfed, and I might start an account there and see how that works. I was actually wondering whether any conventions had grown up in Mastodon to allow people to create a list or filter that would act as though it is Instagram. Maybe this is too much to ask. Or maybe I should wait a while, & think about it in more depth. In the meanwhile I will take up your suggestion and see what happens when I join Pixelfed :)
