I'm king of many hills, and all those hills are Gaussian.

Word is that Linux based OSes are for tech savvy people. Truth is that if you need only web browser and sometimes office software Linux is best for your usecase. I've installed Manjaro (but any other one "easy" distro would work too) to my mothers laptop and she got used to it fast and barely notices difference between her laptop and her Windows machine on work. Seems to me like small thing you can do for your parents to keep them safer and more private on internet.

I've been playing with WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) but so far I don't have good reasons to keep it, only one is very easy SSH connections (I don't like putty)

I've got invitation to Cyph:
cyph.com/blog/why-should-you-u

Seems like Keybase alternative. Its still in beta but when my account get confirmed I will post invitation links (I got 5 of them), anyone interested can DM me or better send PGP email (or PGP DM), and I'll send invitation links to you. I'll update on remaining invitations.

Visiting website on Chromium based browsers will throw http2 error, I can't find fix for it but my guess is that some nginx header is culprit (help appreciated). You can visit it from Gecko based browsers such are Firefox and Tor browser. If you visit it from Tor browser you should be show option to redirect to .onion version of website.

Maybe we should join toots under some hashtags?

I'm planning to write (blog?) post about my privacy setup and habits that I practice. By setup I mean what privacy software I use and by habits I mean my way of using them. I'm just not making it because I work all day on my final thesis for university. I will do it for sure eventually

@Tutanota
When is latest app version comming to F-Droid? On F-Droid version is 3.73.1, while on PlayStore is 3.75.3

Another smooth update from PiHole, I'm very pleased.

Still waiting for latest KeePassXC package to appear in Arch repos

@jonah Good to be back, what happened with mastodon instance?

@Tommy If its free you probably pay with your data. Best anonymity option you have for good service is to pay with cryptocurrencies. One good provider I know is njal.la

It's finally here, teasing is over:

I'm excited to launch #keyoxide today!

yarmo.eu/post/keyoxide

#FOSS solution for easy encryption, signature verification and decentralized identity proofs!

I've been in favor of #DeleteKeybase but I never had something to offer as an alternative. Now I do :)
