There's a new "experimental feature" being tested in Firefox 83: sponsored sites in the URL bar.
"Mozilla works with advertising partners to place sponsored tiles on the Firefox home page (or New Tab) that would be useful to Firefox users. Mozilla is paid when users click on sponsored tiles."
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sponsor-privacy
You can disable this by setting `browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.showSponsoredTopSites` to `false`.

I've had 440xx before upgrading to 5.9 and couldn't boot after just regular "yay". I figure that you could make things work with other driver versions, I just posted what worked for me. Anyway good to know.
@TheDoctor
Plugins which are used to compile latex code and view live changes on pdf on code change, yes, plugins is what I meant.
@lnx This seems very cool. Its like https://github.com/schollz/croc/releases but with many more features

Seems this was fixed a week ago, feel free to update on 5.9 kernel with nvidia drivers.

I only visit less than 10 websites on mobile, so Firefox focus or Bromite do job very well for me, with pihole combined. I'm still using Firefox on desktop and I'm not happy with news that Firefox is on wrong path.
@mistermonster
For mobile Bromite seems like best option, did you try it?

Faculty is using some platform for lectures which has ability to automatically remove videos of lectures after some specific time, usually a week. Their reason for using that platform is "copyright", but platform is using embedded videos from YouTube and links of those videos are so easy to acquire and download with youtube-dl. I'm thinking now what could be best possible solution for them to preserve copyright, any ideas?
