@supernova I hope so. Maybe there is other person in my field with same hobby

@supernova Also, I've made .onion version of website just to see how its done, its not like I need it or anything

@supernova Thanks, now that I think about it if someone visits my site with Tor browser they will be presented option to visit .onion link since I've added nginx header for it. I think I don't need to link .onion version on clearnet website. Site is static and will serve as CV, so I don't need for someone who is planning to hire me to see that I have .onion address due to confusion and prejudice towards Tor network.

@supernova I already do, but there is no onion icon or Tor project icon.

Font-awesome doesn't have onion or Tor browser icon. Any font alternatives?

@resist_berlin_@chaos.social Yes, I don't know what Signal should do in that case.

@resist_berlin_@chaos.social Its more like ripping their service, unless they rename Giphy to FacebookGif or something like that, >95% people won't know that FB acquired Giphy so there is no promotion imo.

@resist_berlin_@chaos.social
No, giphy doesn't know who is issuing requests for gifs since they are proxied through signal.

@karan
I see that you have both clearnet and .onion website, you can set headers in your webserver for browsers to offer redirect to .onion site with just one click. For nginx config add this header:
`add_header Onion-Location your_onion_adress.onion$request_uri;`
(Sorry if you have this already set up, I just think its neat for people with mirror .onion websites

FOSS selfhostable blogging platform recommendations? As lightweight as possible since I'm going to run it on my raspberry pi.

@georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz
I guess. I will give it a try when I have more time

@georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz
I did use it year or two ago, it was unusable. Barely managed to install whatever needed for it to be able to run and when it run it was so far from AutoCad. I wish in next decade to be foss AutoCad alternative and some other software for engineers, then I can kiss Windows goodbye

@georgia@dickkickextremist.xyz
Have you tried it recently? Is it making any progress to become usable?

So maybe someone knows the answer to this. A few days ago I rage quit Riot.im/matrix.org and lo and behold 2 days later they release an update allowing cross signing to solve the friction with regard to verification. So I tried to test it out. Turns out, if you have no active session you cannot ever verify your sessions again, apparently. Unless there's something that is not so apparent?

Does anyone reading this know how to verify your only session in Riotx or riot desktop?

@loziniak
Not everyone wants/know how to self host, and I think they don't need to. End user doesn't need to know anything about how its done behind the courtain
