I don't think many people know about this but you can anonymize your DNS requests if you own some linux server with shell access. Steps to take:
1) Install Wireguard on your server
2) Install dnscrypt-proxy
3) Configure dnscrypt-proxy to use anonymized DNS in .toml file
4) Profit

You can also install PiHole for adblocking and configure it to use dnscrypt-proxy. You can connect then with Wireguard and have VPN+anon DNS+ adblocker.

This is for blocking of sneaky ads that appear through CNAME,

Its probably hard to implement, thats why its taking them so long I guess

What Signal really needs for mass adoption is conference calls, via both mobile and desktop app

@ivan
I've done it with this significant difference: I'm using smtp with email and password plaintext written in code to send previously encrypted (with gnupg) message, I'm authenticating with TLS with external provider (e.g GMail). I'll edit code soon and will send you link

I've wrote python script to notify me if there is change to public IP of my raspberry pi, and if there is to notify me via encrypted email. I might post code later on Github, someone might find it usefull

@kravietz
Great, I've heard a lot of people talking about it but never managed to get myself on it. I'm planning to use it on my external hdd to hoard some tv shows and movies. Thanks

Contacts and calendar with dav protocol still are not encrypted in Nextcloud but yes, if you own it physically I guess you are fine
@Wetrix

@kravietz
There is also lift from iCloud encryption, so Apple doesn't have that also right now
