Also new in Firefox 70: Press CTRL+L to set focus to the address field, then press tab once to move onto a button, then start typing the letters of the button you want to focus. The search is incremental. This allows for quick navigation in the toolbars.
For example, if you have the 1Password extension installed, press CTRL+L, tab, 1 to focus it, and Space to activate and fill out the login for the current form.

Sad thing is that there aren't custom ROM available for many Huawei devices. EMUI just sucks, too bad for cheap and good hardware you get with Huawei devices

@shafi
I don't think this is corporate greed, nothing is free after all and good service should be paid, people who provided us with these services must eat something too. Open source is what should grant full transparency and there are good e-mail providers that practice that

Just set up some cool organisational secrets using our family #Bitwarden (Fully #FOSS Rust implementation) to ensure my family can get to my important stuff if something happens to me. Puts my mind at ease. You can do it too: tech.oeru.org/setting-your-own Next challenge: to get my wife and kids to actually use it... 🤔

There is also this article from Guardian from 2001 so you can see that some shady business is going on theguardian.com/world/2001/jan
@freemo @ScottMortimer

@kravietz
Article also says that needs further research and that conclusion can't be made. On proffessional side my source is my mother, she is gynecologist and she is saying there is increase in cancer since bombing because its her job to identify cancer cells. Maybe reasons isn't just bombing related, but there is increase since that time

I have made a small improvement to YouTube2PeerTube. The tool now has the ability to mirror YT videos directly without downloading and then uploading them! If you have bandwidth restrictions and/or have no interest in archiving videos you mirror, you now have a more lightweight option.

@kravietz
That is true, but there is this spike in cancer rates where I live because of bombing
@freemo @ScottMortimer

@freemo
I do trust science, these things are just beyond my understanding, that is all
@ScottMortimer

@freemo
First towers are installed few months ago in city where I live (Belgrade) and in this city time always showed real consequences of long term radiation. We had nasty NATO bombing with depleted uranium in '99 and people also told that its consequences wouldn't be too large. Cancer rates are higher 3-5 times than before bombing. Just saying this for you to understand my paranoia

@kravietz
I keep my google account for smtp and imap playthings with python. I could switch over to disroot but need to figure it out when I have more time

@freemo
Thanks for explanation. I guess we will see in time how will this show for human health. I just feel that there isn't much transparency in all this. My gf got another project to do, so she didn't do all work that needs to be done, some other people got that assignment
@ScottMortimer

@freemo
True for claim of gf, she is signal and systems part of EE, don't know how do you call in US that specific field.
@ScottMortimer

@freemo
This is what is difficult for me to understand, this is a measurable thing, what is giving that uncertainty for proper conclusion of its damage to human health? Its not my field of proffession so help me to understand it if you have will. There are sources claiming that its harmful and other sources claiming that it isn't, is it because of the nature of it?
@ScottMortimer

@freemo
Well my gf made some measurments beside 5G tower at place where she works (she is electrical engineer) and she wouldn't tell me how much exactly its bad (business etics) but its harmful to be near 150m of 5G tower, her office is 30m from that tower
@ScottMortimer

@kravietz
This would be top level targeted advertising, how can you better identify person other than using his DNA?

You can tell Google to fsck themselves with their "payment policy" by simply installing Wireguard from F-Droid which I've been doing since version 1 news.slashdot.org/story/19/10/

Also tons of other cool apps on F-Droid, all open-source, carefully checked for privacy violations and built from source.

And before anyone bemoans the whole Cloudflare thing:

"But this doesn’t mean you have to use Cloudflare. Users can configure Firefox to use whichever DoH-supporting recursive resolver they want. As more offerings crop up, we plan to make it easy to discover and switch to them."

I was thinking of setting up my lightning node on raspberry pi, but I don't know how hard that would be. I feel like devs must conjure some easy way of setting nodes for wide spread adoption, easy even for non techies
