@mister_monster
Maybe, we will see how will this play out. I'm sceptical, but I've been wrong before.

@mister_monster
Not quite service, it would be service when their model gives you correct amount of issued Libra tokens for given fiat. They can print how much they want and government cant control that, I see this as huge problem.
@Wetrix

@mister_monster
My point is that Libra won't be accepted in other countries besides US (even in US maybe), why whould Russians and Chinese and rest of whole world give such power to US based corporation? Not very likely imo
@Wetrix

@mister_monster
It does matter when you can't turn Libra into fiat, Facebook plans to implement official Libra banks and I don't think that any country will accept that beside US. It is cryptocurency, but it is problem when the flow of money is stopped, when you can't turn Libra into fiat and vice versa becouse of regulation of country you live in, thats a huge problem.
@Wetrix

@mister_monster
Libra is already on very bumpy road, those bumps are regulations by the government and overall bad privacy reputation by Facebook. Also, any country that don't want to give any financial power to Facebook (which imo is every country in the world besides maybe US) will simply make that way of payment illegal. Their model is bad, and as such it can't succeed, regulators see that.

Yes, I think it can. I'm not the expert but I can ask my friend, he is making some tokens on Ethereum network

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online
Doesnt need to be, that depends on the network

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online
I dont know how BTT network works, but I guess this can be done with Ethereum smart contracts

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online
Seems like much more better way of getting the reward as seeder and uploader, making fast tunnels is bad. Thats what american ISPs are trying to do, make pay tunnels for faster internet

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online
It doesn't need to, there is transaction before smart contract (you paying to the uploader) and that first transaction determines who uploader is. Everyone seeding after is not the uploader, their payment scale per upload ratio

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online
My idea would be something like this. Money influx is paying BTT as donation to torrent uploader, 50% of that donation is uploaders money, and rest of 50% goes to seeders accordingly to their upload ratio. You can even make smart contracts on Ethereum network which will enable you automated way of doing this.

@DashEquals@linuxrocks.online
This idea is interesting, seeders to get some compensation for their trouble of seeding torrents, but limiting download speeds? Maybe there is better way to implement this idea.

You set up external drive on pi, yes. You should get pi 4 because of usb 3.0, you may need it for good write speed

@ben_dw
No, if you are not experienced with Linux I recommend you to use disroot.org, but if you want to dive into problematics if setting up home server here is good guide that will walk you through it.
