Someone also having problems with f-droid? Can't get updates for 5 days.

@makuharigaijin
They made it even harder. I'm gonna wait a couple of days so I will try to login then. I

Anyone here deleted facebook account before? Do you get some confirmation e-mail that your account was deleted? Can't remember if my 30 day grace period passed, just want to be sure.

@Wetrix
I guess blizzard made a mistake to push it as hardcore competitive game. Game is good, but dunno why its not so popular.

@Wetrix
I used to play hots, but my friends kinda lost interest in it. Its very legit game.

@filikun Maybe two Pi's, but I'm not so sure. Don't take that for granted.

@filikun You can configure your raspberry (which in this case behaves as router) to use Wireguard and to have pi-hole enabled, so your raspberry is then network wide ad blocker and VPN. It is good solution to hide traffic from your carrier, and anyone who connects on your wi-fi has this benefits. I don't use raspberry as router, but I can connect to mobile data and wi-fi without turning off Wireguard. This is different from OpenVPN, you have to reset your OpenVPN service to gain connection.

@filikun It is VPN, it just uses 1.1.1.1 as DNS resolver in its Wireguard configuration. Good VPN providers use their own DNS resolver and 1.1.1.1 is made by Cloudflare and its supposed to be fastest and most private on internet. Wireguard is next generation VPN protocol, and I can tell its very fast and easy on battery since I've been using it for some time. So yes, it is a VPN, not a proxy like SOCKS5.

@filikun You mean Warp app that uses 1.1.1.1 as DNS resolver? I've read that it uses Wireguard protocol, so maybe it has some potential.

There is open source Twitch streaming app available on F-Droid called Twire, looks very neat.

Having strange squeaking sound in hardware when playing cs:go in ubuntu, dunno if its graphics or cooler or something else. When game stops sound also stops, wtf

@Mayana
On computer you can have multiple tabs logged in your mastodon accounts on same browser. Not very convenient, I agree.
@tom79@mastodon.social

@Mayana
You need different account for each one. There is open topic on github about following entire instances but eta is not known. Mastodon apps like @tom79@mastodon.social enable you fast one tap switching between accounts, if you want your followers/block list in both accounts there is export option.

@ibmiubu Its not that much of a tradeoff, most privacy stuff is almost as convenient as any other. For me greatest tradeoff is switching to Linux, because I need some software that is Windows exclusive. That's why I got 2 SSDs, two clean installations, one for Windows 10 and other for Ubuntu 18.04. Another tradeoff is increased captchas while using VPN, and thats about it for me.

@Olivia
Why would they, you can filter out only English language posts to show in your feed.

@BurungHantu
Mullvad, no need for registering with e-mail or other private data, there is only one plan which is 5$/month, option to pay with cryptocurrencies and wireguard supported.

@clemmmment
I was premium user before for both ProtonVPN and ProtonMail and they are legit service, but I gave up because they were too expensive for me.
