TIL that if you are in some folder using KDE Dolphin and if you press F4 terminal will open in same window/tab.
@clarjon1 I figured that it also works for samba shares.
@nikolal it do! smb:// as memory serves? I dont have any samba shares handy to confirm
@clarjon1 smb:/path gives you that remote folder preview
@nikolal and if you change folder in Dolphin, shell will follow you

@nikolal you can also use ssh to connect to a remote server in the file browser by popping fish://username@hostname.or.ip.address ( or sftp:// too ) into the address bar
