I need a solution to sending end2end encrypted data on a mobile device. There are apps but they all have permissions that require special access to your phone and i sure as hell dont want to use a app by any tech giant that are not trust worthy. I dont want a app that shares the same encryption protocol as major apps like fb, google etc. Something custom or that includes a cypher. Any recommendations would be great.

@m_svo it looks like the app contains trackers from google for advertising and analytics.

@nikolal @m_svo its not exactly what i need but this app would be good for my nas to test and my other devices.

You can use croc with tmux, install termux with F-Droid, then in termux install croc with:
pkg install croc
Grant termux access to your storage with: termux-setup-storage
(no root required but you will be prompted for storage access). Finally send files with croc. Links to tools used:
schollz.com/software/croc/
f-droid.org/en/packages/com.te
You can setup permanent passwords for convenient sending, just read through croc link.

@nikolal @m_svo thanks I will look into this, sounds promising. I could encrypt/decrypt locally but thats a bit of a hassle

@lnx
Or you can encrypt/decrypt locally with OpenKeychain and find whatever way to send file.
