If Signal would add 8 hours option for "mute notifications" that would be great, I need that "shut up until morning" power.

It can, but I like to keep sound on for private chats in case someone needs me in the middle of the night.
@nikolal on iOS only the next call within 3 minutes is supported by sound.
@nikolal as far as I know only plain GSM calls.
