Font-awesome doesn't have onion or Tor browser icon. Any font alternatives?
@supernova I already do, but there is no onion icon or Tor project icon.
@nikolal oops, sorry I misread that in the bright sun. Most orgs have graphics for media or other use. Maybe https://github.com/TheTorProject/tor-media/tree/master/Onion%20Icon
@supernova Thanks, now that I think about it if someone visits my site with Tor browser they will be presented option to visit .onion link since I've added nginx header for it. I think I don't need to link .onion version on clearnet website. Site is static and will serve as CV, so I don't need for someone who is planning to hire me to see that I have .onion address due to confusion and prejudice towards Tor network.
@supernova Also, I've made .onion version of website just to see how its done, its not like I need it or anything
@nikolal Maybe just having the link in the header is a good test for you of potential business contacts. See if they mention, "Oh I saw your CV was also available over Tor", they get extra brownie points.
@supernova I hope so. Maybe there is other person in my field with same hobby
@nikolal forkawesome ? They dont have everything fontawesome has but you'll find other things too :)
@nikolal just checked they don't have them ... but that could be a nice pullrequest maybe :)
@hyde
I've oppened issue https://github.com/ForkAwesome/Fork-Awesome/issues/239
@nikolal Well done!
Lets track to see how much time they need to merge it :)
Not really difficult to add and create PR (from CONTRIBUTING.md ) :
## Adding a new icon
Adding a new icon is a couple steps process that will require your attention and eyes for details. It might be a bit intimidating at the beginning, but should be easy to repeat once you've gone through it once or twice.
0. Follow the [README.md](README.md#building-fork-awesome) to install the necessary tools.
@hyde I will try it in the evening.
@hyde Seems that there is already Tor icon:
https://github.com/ForkAwesome/Fork-Awesome/blob/master/src/icons/svg/tor-onion.svg
But it doesn't render when I use it in css
@hyde It renders afterall, just as some bell, lol. fa-tor-onion is what you call
@nikolal I don't have it in my icons.yml ... probably not released yet 🤷♂️
@nikolal
Haha non really the thing you want
@hyde Anyway I'll open new issue and close old one
@nikolal Self host them. https://fontawesome.com/how-to-use/on-the-web/setup/hosting-font-awesome-yourself
