Serious question about coronavirus endgame 

As I understand it there are three ways that this epidemic can end: (1) herd immunity through mass vaccination; (2) herd immunity through mass infection [e.g., .us]; (3) elimination through isolation [e.g., .kr].

It seems that different countries are going to arrive at different endpoints. What then? Must we prevent travel from a 2-country to a 3-country for years?

There won't be efficient isolation, its too late for that. Either vaccines or infections. Isolation is needed now to not overpopulate hospitals and save as much lives as possible, infection or vaccines will come sooner or later
